Cycol 2.0

CYCOL 2.0

Year one built the foundation. Cycol 2.0 expands the vision.

Cycol is evolving into a multidisciplinary cultural space built around art, technology, community, and connection. Our Allen Street home will continue to host exhibitions upstairs while expanding programming throughout the building and beyond.

UPSTAIRS

Upstairs remains Cycol’s dedicated exhibition space, continuing a rotating program of exhibitions and artist-led experiences.

With an expanded curatorial team, the gallery will bring together artists, mediums, and perspectives while continuing to create opportunities for both established and emerging voices.

DOWNSTAIRS

Downstairs is being transformed into an immersive sensory space built around sound, light, texture, and story—a place for inspiration, connection, and experience beyond the traditional gallery.

“This is the first piece of art I’ve made in 3 years.

Not a canvas. A space.

A sensory room built from everything I reached for whenever a creative block hit. Sound, light, texture, story.

A place of inspiration first. Then everything else.”
— JT Liss, Founder/Director

INTENTION

Make Cycol inclusive of every form of expression.

Art. Music. Dance. Film. Conversation. Performance. Intimate events with a storyteller’s spine — meant to move fellow creatives and people who love art.

A cultural hub for the LES and beyond. Every week.

EDUCATION

My years as an NYC educator are not a side note. They’re part of the building.

Elementary and middle school: a curriculum with pre and post-lessons, quarterly field trips, artist talks, and time inside the gallery.

High school: a paid internship program so students get real hours and real work in gallery operations.

The next generation should not just visit art. They should understand how it gets made and shown.

Educational programming has already begun.

PARTNERSHIPS

Solana and BONK continue to support Cycol’s vision as we build deeper relationships across the creative and technology communities. New partnerships will bring permanent activations, technology, products, and experiences into the gallery while creating new opportunities for artists.

OPPORTUNITY

Upstairs keeps exhibiting. @lampwrecked_ has earned a curator role in addition to their Assistant Director position. @lowbrownative is back as a lead curator.

Across the street on Broome: working with Satellite Gallery as well as other locations as a Cycol sister site for pop-up exhibitions.

Funded through the Arts Ambassador Program so artists don’t have to go out of pocket to pay for a space. Open calls for equitable access. Not just the usual names.

CYCOL WALLS

Lead curator @lobeldesign will bring muralists from across the globe and let them rock the side of the building. Monthly rotation. More artists. More styles.

The street gets a show too.

NONPROFIT

We are filing for 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. Tax-deductible donations that go straight to programming and artist support. Not a vanity nonprofit. A structure so the work can last.

MEMBERSHIP

Coming: discounts on ticketed events, VIP access downstairs during events, special merch, early access to the ecosystem.

You support the gallery. We take care of the people who showed up.

More on perks soon. If you know how I’ve moved, you already know that part.

Year one we built the proof.

Cycol 2.0 is the vision at full volume: a safe place for expression and connection, all mediums, every week, for years to come.

Pull up. Bring your people. Be inspired.

91 Allen Street is gonna hit different this year.
